Small amount of fundraising for our new school, potentially for school camp or sports/science equipment. We are a small school with 31 students enrolled currently.
The aim of our project is to create an ‘Interactive Ecozone’. This space will be an integral part of the future of our school with an emphasis on environmental awareness. The Ecozone will be used by many stakeholders within the school community and will provide many teaching opportunities about the sustainability of the earth, where food comes from, composting and the importance of living sustainably. The Ecozone will support a vegetable garden, native beehives, compost bins, worm farms, chicken coop and the schools’ bin management system.
Fundraise so we can purchase a food van to provide nutritious and delicious meals to our students, parents, coaches and staff.

Koala Action Inc. (KAI) is made up of individuals concerned about the long-term survival of the koala across their natural range with a particular focus in Queensland. KAI’s objectives are to help koalas by urging local, state and federal government as well as businesses to retain native bush land habitat, provide resources to rehabilitate degraded bush land to increase its carrying capacity and encourage the replanting of koala food trees and other natives in parks, reserves and open spaces. We are fundraising to help pay for an upgrade of the Mapleton Memorial Park. Specifically the money will be used to purchase the plaques that will be displayed on the memorial. It is proposed that the path we intend to construct will be used to acknowledge students of the Mapleton State School that have joined one of the Services since leaving school. A small plaque with the name of each student that joins a Service will be installed on the outer edge of the path.
