CLUB GREEN GUARD – TREE-FOR-CHANGE (Ghana) A Youth-Led Climate and Education Initiative Under the Ghana Green Guard (GGG) Programme Plant a Tree. Empower a Student. Strengthen a School. Club Green Guard (CLGG) is Ghana’s national youth and schools-based climate programme under the Ghana Green Guard (GGG) Initiative. Every tree purchased through EcoForce Global supports planting, long-term care, climate education, and essential digital access for rural schools across Ghana. Tree price: $22 USD (~33 AUD) What Is Club Green Guard? Club Green Guard mobilizes students in Grade 4 and above to plant, name, and monitor their own trees as part of a supervised, curriculum-aligned environmental learning programme. Each sponsored tree provides: A seedling, planting, digital ID, and five years of care Growth monitoring and GPS tracking on verified lands STEM-based climate education ICT access and connectivity for participating schools EcoForce Global serves as the international fundraising platform. All planting, maintenance, monitoring, and education delivery is conducted locally by CarbonPura, PSPH, EPA Ghana, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Climate/Environment, and the Forestry Commission. Why Ghana? Why Now? Ghana faces deforestation, land degradation, water contamination from illegal mining, and limited access to environmental education resources. Club GreenGuard provides a national solution by restoring landscapes while equipping students with climate literacy, leadership skills, and digital tools. The programme supports Ghana’s climate commitments and aligns with SDGs 4, 6, 9, 13 and 15. How It Works 1. Purchase a tree through EcoForce Global. Your contribution funds planting, maintenance, monitoring, and school-based digital access. 2. A student plants and names the tree. Students receive age-appropriate training and teachers serve as Patrons supervising all activities. 3. Each tree receives a digital ID and GPS location. Tree growth and survival are tracked through digital dashboards. 4. Schools receive ICT and internet support. Each participating school receives satellite connectivity and ICT equipment. Additional social initiatives may be supported as programme resources allow, but the primary emphasis is on digital access and education. 5. Communities benefit long-term. Tree planting restores degraded lands while supporting climate education and improving school infrastructure. Education and STEM Integration Club GreenGuard is fully aligned with Ghana’s national curriculum and integrates into subjects including Science, Mathematics, ICT, Geography and Agricultural Science. Primary (G4-6): ecology, biodiversity, plant life cycles, composting Junior High: tree measurement, GPS basics, carbon literacy, agricultural science Senior High: climate science, sustainable agriculture, biochar introduction, digital reporting Teacher training is provided through the Ministry of Education, CarbonPura, PSPH, and EcoForce starter materials. All activities are supervised, educational, age-appropriate, and compliant with child-protection guidelines. School and Community Benefits Every participating school receives: Satellite internet connectivity ICT equipment (5 tablets and 5 computers) Where available, additional school or community initiatives may be added, such as boreholes, classroom blocks or sewing centres. These are funded through the broader GGG programme and partner initiatives, and not dependent on individual tree purchases. This approach ensures that Club GreenGuard remains focused primarily on education, climate action, and digital access, while complementing broader development projects already underway.

Supporting our environment has never been more important. Your purchase to support us will not only help us raise valuable funds but support planet repair, re vegetation and carbon capture, supporting all of us.
