About This Planting Site
Plant a Tree. Empower a Student. Transform a School.
Help students in rural Ghana plant and care for their own trees while gaining practical STEM and eco-stewardship skills, connecting classrooms in Ghana with supporters around the world.
Club Green Guard is an environmental and educational initiative that enables students (Grade 4+) to plant, name, and monitor their own trees as part of an environmental literacy and education program.
Each $22USD ($33AUD) tree you purchase becomes a living classroom, connecting learning to real-world action and giving students a sense of ownership, pride, and long-term responsibility for their environment.
Every tree is assigned a digital ID with GPS location and six-month photo updates via a unique URL, allowing supporters to follow its growth over time.
Planting and education is delivered locally by CarbonPura Africa and Private Sector Participation in Health (PSPH) through the larger Ghana Green Guard (GGG) initiative.
Why?
Ghana is losing forests at one of the fastest rates in West Africa.
Students in rural schools lack access to practical environmental education rooted in land stewardship and regeneration.
Each tree you purchase helps restore land, strengthen environmental knowledge and empower students with the skills to solve real-world challenges by working with nature.
Club Green Guard also creates opportunities for school-to-school and community connections. Students in Australia, the US and across the globe can partner with Club Green Guard and connect directly with schools in Ghana, fostering shared learning, cultural exchange, and a deeper understanding of our shared responsibility to care for and restore the natural world.
Special Partnerships
Club Green Guard is a part of the Ghana Green Guard (GGG) initiative, a USD$25 billion climate futures initiative committed to delivering multiple diversified regenerative solutions to drive a healthier and more sustainable future for all Ghanaians. As a core program, Club Green Guard advances Ghana’s national development objectives while empowering the next generation of environmental leaders.
Beyond land restoration, GGG integrates humanitarian programmes that prioritize access to clean water, improve sanitation, support menstrual health for girls, and empower women and children. Together, these initiatives strengthen health, education, and long-term community resilience, ensuring environmental restoration delivers meaningful, lasting benefits for people and nature alike.
GGG is led by CarbonPura Africa in partnership with Ghana’s Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and Private Sector Participation in Health (PSPH).
